Access the latest independent advice and research on plant breeding, varieties, crop agronomy, soils and plant innovation with an afternoon of seminars, indoor exhibits and field demonstrations. We will demonstrate the crop research, plant breeding and agronomy advice that will allow UK growers to achieve the genetic yield potential in their wheat crops and get off the yield plateau.

There will be a Network members-only private variety demonstration tours from 10.00am until midday. Network members are welome to stay for lunch and the seminar programme and to look around our agronomy and NIAB Innovation Farm demonstrations in the afternoon.

13.00      Seminars in our new conference centre including 'Agronomic requirements of high yielding varieties', 'Genetic innovation; finding new sources of genetic diversity', and 'Growing wheat without triazoles'

14.30      Field demonstrations including: Combinable crop variety demonstration plots; Wheat disease focus and seed rate/row width trials; The components and restrictions to wheat yield; NIAB Innovation Farm - using crops to combat climate change and improve food security; New sources of genetic potential in plant breeding; Disease identification – bring your problem plants for a free on-the-spot visual diagnosis; and Cambridge Agronomy Unit potato specialists

Note: Do not go to our Huntingdon Road site. Please follow map directions to access NIAB Park Farm at Histon/Impington on the A14 and switch of SATNAVs on exiting the A14. The site postcode will take you to 1 Villa Road, Histon. Carry on along Villa Road, past the new housing estate until the road end and the NIAB Park Farm entrance gates
